So this is literally my first ever trip to Marina Bay Sands (MBS) ever since its official opening. I got to love its surroundings because everything seems so peaceful on a weekday afternoon, it's just like a peaceful corner in a buzzling city centre. Of course, the only thing that partially ruins this image are the construction sites nearby that are constructing new skyscrapers.
I guessed that both bibi and me had took the wrong exit as we had to walk a really long route to reach MBS. The sun was scorching hot and I couldn't resist but to gulp down water along the way.
There was not much people as you can see from the empty streets around.
If you're having a stay over at MBS, you could have the view of the Singapore River with skylines of Fullerton Bay Hotel and the Esplanade under your feet. The view and scenery is just fabulous, needless to say. I have a fetish for the sea because it makes me reflect, I just seems to enjoy looking at the sea most of my time and reflect on the bits and pieces of issues that happened haha.
Finally, we've reached The Shoppes At Marina Bay Sands after a long walk. It's really windy over there unlike the journey we've took, it is justified with the way my hair flows. I gotta admit its in a big mess due to the wind.
The mall is really empty, probably because its on a weekday. Its bustling with commuters only at the basement where the foodcourt is located because its lunch time when we're there.
They could have signed more vendors that cater to food outlets instead of concentrating more towards the fashion boutiques because we couldn't seem to find any affordable cafes or restaurants in the proximity. That's something which is disappointing since we've to walk all the way to the Singapore Flyer to get our lunch with hungry stomachs.
However, I like their concept of incorporating the style of Venice into the mall, a rather fresh concept in Singapore which no other malls had used, although it is similar to that in Macau.
Geez. Maybe I'll have a go in the sampan next time i'm back there.
We're back on our way to the Singapore Flyer to have Popeyes. I love today because it is great for phototaking as the clouds really portrays the pictures well especially this photograph whereby there is a clear distinctive line drawn between the white clouds and the blue sky. Although it does not seems to be sunny as reflected in the picture, it is in fact scorching hot and we're sort of sweating and ranting on how hot it can get.
We heaved a sigh of relief when we're able to walk into Helix Bridge because it spells shelter, away from direct sunlight. ^^
Shall end off my post with a picture of bibi! Haha, thanks for the day, really enjoyed myself. Much loves.
